NET Architect - £30k to £35k p.a. - South Bucks
.NET Architect is required for my Buckinghamshire client. The successful candidate will have about 4 years of commercial experience in VB, ASP, DTS, and SQL Server 2000. An additional 18 months of C#, VB.NET, or ASP.NET is required. Must have experience of analysis, design, and documentation of small to medium size projects.
The role will require you to play a leading role in the design, specification and development of software modules that are based on the MS .Net architecture. You will be involved in coding as well as design and code reviews; you will perform unit, system and integration testing with team members; you will provide documentation; you will interact with customers and other team members on technical design, functionality and features as needed, as well as interacting with sales and marketing with respect to architectural and strategic issues; you will manage and mentor staff where applicable; have budgetary control in relation to departmental R&D spending.
Designing of application architectures for .Net. To include setup of application environments & development environments for .Net (VB) * Visual C#, standardization of object oriented design & development techniques, and development of other associated standards e.g. XML, HTML, CSS etc. Useful other skills are PowerBuilder, Oracle admin, reporting tools (Crystal*Cognos etc), XML*XSLT, OLAP and Data Warehousing, Unix*Linux*Windows, and Biztalk 2004.
